Think about how damning this is: the only way Manchin will agree to protect our democracy is to make sure it can remain a corrupt democracy.
We love the idea of having our voices represented in government, but find ourselves ”represented” by politicians who repeatedly choose the side of their donors and themselves—not working people…
That's what I thought I knew about Auburn, WV, from my research: there would be infrastructure issues. So I had expectations of what I'd probably hear. But sometimes your expectations are just WRONG.
Allow me to point out that if Delegates genuinely think that my talking about who their campaign donors are---and how much they're receiving from corporate lobbyists/corporate PACs---is an ad hominem attack... then they should be refusing those donations.
